Indie Interiors have successfully completed a stunning turnkey project in Windlesham, creating a stylish and timeless forever family home. The brief was to create an elegant yet practical interior that could withstand the test of time while being contemporary yet classic. Indie Interiors added an array of interior architectural details, bespoke joinery, and finishes to enhance the grandeur of the property while ensuring it felt welcoming and homely.

The designers’ scope also entailed designing and supplying bespoke furniture, all lighting, soft furnishings, and full styling, including all bathrooms within the home. The client’s preference was mainly for a neutral base with a variety of light, taupe toned woods for the bespoke cabinetry and mostly antique brass finishes. However, the client also requested that Indie Interiors be mindful of accent colours in some rooms to ensure individuality while still carefully considering the continuity of the interior throughout the house. Each bathroom includes a mix of marble, limestone, and large porcelain slabs with colours and finishes chosen to suit the occupants of the corresponding bedroom.

Indie Interiors carefully selected every fabric and finish so that the client could achieve their vision with little stress of maintenance, given the age of their children. Overall, the design team created an expansive family home that has it all – a mix of formal and more casual areas, a grand hallway, an equally impressive open plan space alongside individual bedrooms, which each emulate the style and age of the occupants.

Although the design team mainly used a neutral base, they still managed to create an interior that is interesting and individual and will stand the test of time. They carefully thought about each detail within the home and ensured the client is wowed when she walks into each room, even after being in the home for a number of months. The design team was mindful that the client was investing a considerable sum into their home and wanted as much of the design scheme as possible to carry through with them throughout the years.
