Inside Studio has reimagined a dated family home into a multi-functional sanctuary, blending Victorian heritage with modern design to meet the needs of a growing family. The brief was to create a space that was both impressive for entertaining and cosy for daily family life, all while prioritising practicality, sustainability, and storytelling.
The family sought a timeless, cohesive design that incorporated durable materials, maximised storage, and maintained a sense of flow throughout the home. Inside Studio addressed these needs while retaining several existing elements, reducing costs and the carbon footprint by repurposing furniture and avoiding unnecessary waste. Subtle panelling was added to honour the home’s Victorian roots, while the omission of traditional coving maintained a modern aesthetic.
