Todd Richesin Interiors
Todd Richesin Interiors have been shortlisted for the Main Salon Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2023.
Todd Richesin Interiors recently completed a stunning yacht interiors project, which perfectly fulfils the client’s request for a “floating beach house”. The yacht needed to feel like a light, airy ocean front home, providing a restful retreat for the family and their friends. The main challenge was to design an interior that reflected the clients’ personalities and provided ample storage, while also being comfortable, durable, and easy to maintain.
To achieve this, Todd Richesin Interiors used light-coloured floors to represent the sand, and watery tones of the ocean were reflected in the fabrics, along with sunset tones. All upholstery pieces were designed to be incredibly comfortable, while also being made from stain-resistant and easily cleaned materials. Storage was a priority, and every side table, cocktail ottoman, and buffet piece was built to hold and transport items needed on the boat each day.
The main salon was designed to seat 12 people comfortably, with a dining table that could also seat 12. Every furniture piece was custom-made by Todd Richesin Interiors’ sources in the United States and air freighted to Turkey, where the yacht was being constructed by Numarine. The design studio had to work closely with Numarine to ensure that all the furniture pieces would fit perfectly, as the yacht would be used only by the family and their friends.
The result is a spacious and luxurious interior, which perfectly reflects the ocean surroundings. The unexpected design of the interior fits perfectly with the innovative nature of the beautiful vessel by Numarine. The upholstery was created by O. Henry House Ltd, while the case pieces were built by Lange Customs to Todd Richesin Interiors’ specifications.
Despite the tight timeframe, Todd Richesin Interiors successfully completed the project within six months, delivering all the furnishings to Turkey by June 1, 2022. The yacht now boasts a stunning interior that provides the perfect balance between comfort, practicality, and style. When you are inside the yacht, the colors and design make it feel like a natural extension of the ocean, always providing breathtaking water views.
