Embraer have been shortlisted for the Private Jet Design Award in  The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2023.

The interior design and exterior paint of this custom Praetor 500 is designed to unite the dichotomy of work and play, using colour and pattern to evoke a sense of playful professionalism.

This custom Praetor 500 was designed with a colour palette of tonal greys and pops of yellow, that are accentuated through the organic patterns in the carpet, directional valance panels, and seat quilting stitched with Embraer’s Sao Paulo-inspired design. The details and craftsmanship come together for a playful and sporty design, while maintaining an effortless elegance.

It is precisely in the details where Embraer’s design DNA is showcased through the union of wood, leather, and metal. Thoughtfully coined as “The Triad,” these materials work harmoniously to create a sum greater than its parts. This meeting of materials is highlighted in the aircraft’s side ledge stowage compartment in which the piano black veneer, satin chrome plating, and accent leather come together as the perfect exhibit of finishes that make up the interior. Hidden inside the compartment is a burst of bright yellow leather, revealed only when in use, inciting an emotional response of surprise and wonder. Inside the compartment is also a control panel that provides the passenger with “the butler with wings experience.”

The concept of movement flows from the interior to the exterior. Inside, the valance panels are contrasted in grey and black, propelling the eye forward in conjunction with the carpet’s linear pattern. On the exterior, the forward movement continues with a bold neon yellow stripe that starts as a point on the nose and expands along the length of the aircraft. The same richness of the interior materials is captured with the use of deep grey paint on the fuselage, which gives this aircraft a thoughtful design inside and out.
