Melissa Monroe of Entrican Design have been shortlisted for Private Jet Design – Concept Award in  The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2023.

This concept envisions an alluring and unique Gulfstream G650. Both the exterior paint layout and the interior design of the cabin are created to transport the user in luxurious ease.

The design intentionally makes a departure from the typical corporate style aesthetic seen on most private aircraft and instead explores the themes of travel on exotic and luxurious rail cars (such as Le Train Bleu/Orient-Express) and the curiosities of the speakeasy lounges of a bygone era. A comfortable and restful departure from the corporate work environment, this jet allows an inviting escape – a place to relax and unwind and appreciate the ride.

Taking advantage of the soothing cocooning shape of the aircraft body along with the gorgeous large elliptical windows that give stunning views and bring in volumes of natural light, this design invites you to just simply enjoy. The cosy zones are created with seating for gathering or solitude yet are outfitted with all the necessities of a functional workspace if that is needed. The finishes are best-in-class from the world’s finest artisans and ateliers that are leading the current trends of today while also honouring old-world techniques and processes that have been used for centuries to add character to the product.

The detailing and features are elevated beyond a functional corporate minimalistic style. As one experiences this design, each view delivers a new detail, a new delight. Many examples are seen in the detailed wood panel and mouldings, rare and unique wood species, layered soft mood lighting, gilded metal trim, Alabaster accents, veined marble countertops, gold-beaded upholstered panels, Chinchilla pillows, chair upholstery of supple burnished & sueded leathers, divan upholstery in sumptuous velvets with down-like filing, rich elegant colours, smoky antiqued mirrors, along with the finest appointments of silver, crystal, China, and fine crisp linen. Vintage elements include removeable and foldable brass tables and trays.

Flexibility is key with this design; the soothing colours and residential lounge style seating send the message of “relax and enjoy” vs “work and productivity” yet discreetly tucked away are all the tools for a productive work environment.
