HAECO
HAECO have been shortlisted for Private Jet Design – Concept Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2023.
This project is a collaboration between MBG International and HAECO Xiamen. This brief was for an Asian Art Deco Cabin Design Concept for the A319 which was inspired by the Lotus flower and its bloom.
The Lotus flower represents freshness, beauty and vitality, with Oriental cultural characteristics, bringing infinite vigour and vitality to the cabin design. The cabin can carry up to 19 passengers with two lounges and a main dining area providing expansive open spaces throughout providing comfortable spaces to relax, work and socialize.
The most prominent feature of the design is the large dual purpose dining room in the center of the cabin, which can be easily converted into a mah-jong area to allow guests to unwind and socialize following dinner. The aft of the cabin features a spacious en-suite master bedroom offering privacy and a luxurious shower area for the guest to relax and refresh while in flight.
The way that each area of the cabin is designed, allows the space to be much more flexible than what you would usually find on a jet of this size. Classic decorative ‘Eastern’ lattice patterns are deployed in a modern, clean and chic cabin setting. The design successfully integrates a harmonious atmosphere between human beings and nature through its comprehensive combination of oriental cultural characteristics and modern decorative art.
