Idea have been shortlisted for Yacht Concept Interior Design Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2022.

The interiors for this yacht concept have been designed for comfort, and ensuring that all guests experience the feeling of being at ease. With subtle nods to the surrounding water in their design decisions, Idea looks to create a serenity across all areas of the yacht with a connection to the surrounding environment.

The yacht is a place of rest, where the owners should feel calm and contented. In order to envelop this feeling, the interiors have to express tranquillity whilst at the same time still offering the requirements of functionality. The interior design is inspired by the line of sea waves and currents, recreated through rounded shapes in the soffit, furniture, and cabinetry, which are mirrored in patterns for the soft furnishings. This creates a feeling of peace and relaxation through it’s connection to the water, and large windows also extend this by offering extensive views of the seas. Ample storage and seating space has been considered so that the owners can comfortably host.

Idea created an interior in which the shape of the sea and the colours of the beach have been transferred to the yacht in an elegant and subtle way.  The round shapes, light earth tones and luxury elements create this atmosphere. In doing so they have simultaneously created a feeling of timeless beauty. The choice of light tones in the materials contributes to the feeling of sea and beach, soothing the spirit and senses, whilst also being a sophisticated palette. This then provides an opulent base for the luminous elements of alabaster, which are a reference to the mother-of-pearl, and the lighting fixture in the salon that resembles a pearl necklace.
