MGRSoftWall® NextGen is the latest decorative, soft-touch, quick-release, vertically mounted and lightweight panel system for the premium aircraft cabin.

MGRSoftWall® NextGen, from MGR Foamtex Ltd, is suitable for a wide range of aircraft cabin interior applications including seat structures, suite walls, bulkheads, partitions, monuments, side walls and ceiling panels. These panels cocoon the passenger from the hard surfaces of the seat and cabin surround. Stunning visual effects can be achieved as the panel surface can feature complex, bespoke, 3-D elements that can be trimmed in a wide range of covering materials including fabrics, faux leather and aramid / Nomex. Further benefit comes from the sound-deadening qualities to improve the customer experience. To create the final touch, bespoke finishing effects can further enhance design detail, including custom perforations, complex computer-controlled embroidery, UV printing and custom embossing / debossing.

On the technical side, the revolutionary dual-density PVDF foam construction of MGRSoftWall® NextGen removes the need for a rigid thermoplastic layer and means a 50% weight reduction. This dramatic weight saving means reduced fuel burn and reduced emissions. MGRSoftWall® NextGen uses quick release attachment systems that mean assembly and maintenance times are greatly reduced. Using the Quick Connect magnetic attachment system allows panels to be swapped in minutes, making mid-life refreshes and seasonal upgrades a viable reality.

MGRSoftWall® NextGen is an example of real-life product development for sustainability that has been delivered with absolutely no compromise to the customer experience. As a product, it has maintained all of the customer benefits of the original MGRSoftWall® while also reducing the environmental impact with a 50% weight reduction in-service together with improvements at every stage of the product life cycle.
