Treetops Penthouse

LEIVARS Interiors Studio has recently unveiled a remarkable project—a sophisticated penthouse nestled in Nottingham, offering uninterrupted views of Nottingham Castle. The design theme draws inspiration from nature, manifesting as a tranquil escape from the bustling city life.

The open-plan penthouse stands as a canvas of simplicity, with a monochrome colour palette that harmonizes with the natural surroundings. The design brief was clear: to craft a serene treetop retreat characterized by minimalistic, clean lines. Emphasizing the ever-changing hues of the seasons viewed from every angle was fundamental to the design ethos.

The proportions of the space, with high ceilings and expansive vistas, necessitated bespoke design solutions. Every piece of furniture and decor was meticulously curated or custom-designed to perfectly align with the spaciousness and aesthetic goals. A centrepiece of the design is a 5-meter contemporary modular sofa, complemented by striking monochrome abstract art, presenting an arresting visual backdrop.

Creating a sense of calm and spaciousness was paramount. The philosophy of ‘less is more’ guided the curation of each element, ensuring that the real spectacle remained the surrounding views and changing seasons.

Incorporating the elements of woodgrain, a vital component of the natural vista, was integral to the design. This was elegantly infused into the contemporary black wood grain kitchen, adding a touch of modernity while reflecting the essence of the surrounding tree trunks.

Storage, too, was a key consideration, aligning with the client’s preference for a clutter-free and streamlined appearance. It catered to the lifestyle of a busy business owner who frequently travels, emphasizing practicality without compromising on aesthetics.
