Elegant Entertaining Kitchen

Martin Moore has completed a bespoke kitchen and bar project within a private woodland estate, creating an elegant and highly functional space designed to support both everyday family life and large scale entertaining. Set against a secluded natural backdrop, the project was carefully conceived to complement its expansive surroundings while serving as the social heart of the home.

A key aspect of the brief was to establish a spacious open plan environment that connected seamlessly with the landscape. To achieve this, Martin Moore opened one side of the kitchen directly onto a terrace and swimming pool, strengthening the relationship between the interior and the woodland setting beyond.

The design is based on Martin Moore’s New Deco collection, inspired by the architects and craftsmen of the 1930s. Hand painted cabinetry is paired with pale quartzite surfaces, while cabinet interiors are lined with dark walnut and finished with bespoke aged bronze handles. These materials continue into the bar, where a fluted dark walnut island is topped with dramatic black granite. Glass shelving backed by antique bronze mirror provides elegant storage for bottles and glassware.

By combining timber, stone, bronze, leather and glass, Martin Moore has created a timeless kitchen that feels warm, tactile and enduring, designed to evolve with the family for generations while sitting naturally within its remarkable woodland setting.
