Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)

With a strong foundation in Textile Design and a Diploma in Interior Design, my journey in the world of design spans over 20 years. What began as a deep appreciation for patterns, textures, and the transformative power of spaces evolved into a career that I feel deeply passionate about. My background in textile design taught me to understand the subtleties of color, fabric, and texture—skills that naturally complement my work in interior design.
After spending over a decade in the design industry, honing my skills and developing my creative vision, I took the leap of faith to establish my own company in Dubai seven years ago. Dubai, with its ever-evolving skyline and rich cultural diversity, provided the perfect backdrop to launch a business rooted in creativity and innovation. The city’s unique mix of tradition and modernity continues to inspire me, influencing my designs in profound ways.
My approach to design is deeply personal. I believe that every space should tell a story—a reflection of the people who live or work in it. Whether it’s a cozy holiday apartment , a vibrant ladies-only café, or a sleek modern kitchen in a Palm Jumeirah apartment, my goal is to create environments that are not only beautiful but also functional and meaningful.
Over the years, I’ve learned that design is as much about listening as it is about creating. Understanding my clients’ needs, dreams, and lifestyles is at the heart of my work. Each project is an opportunity to collaborate, to transform ideas into reality, and to craft spaces that evoke emotion and connection.
As someone with a deep appreciation for both design and art, I draw inspiration from various sources—nature, architecture, culture, and even food. My experiences living in Dubai for the past 19 years, with a brief but enriching stint in Beijing, have broadened my perspective, allowing me to blend different design styles seamlessly. This global influence is evident in my work, where contemporary aesthetics often meet timeless elegance.
Starting my own company was both a challenging and rewarding experience. It allowed me to push boundaries, experiment with ideas, and build a brand that reflects my design philosophy. Today, I’m proud to have a dedicated team by my side, each member bringing their unique talent and creativity to our projects. Together, we’ve created a portfolio that showcases our versatility—from residential spaces to commercial projects.
Looking back, I’m grateful for every step of this journey—the lessons learned, the people I’ve worked with, and the spaces I’ve had the privilege to transform. Design, to me, is more than just a career; it’s a way of life. It’s about crafting environments where memories are made, where people feel comfortable and inspired.
As I continue to grow my business, my vision remains clear: to create spaces that resonate with individuality, creativity, and heart. I’m excited for the future, for the projects yet to come, and for the chance to keep turning passion into purpose—one beautifully designed space at a time.

How would you describe your personal design style?

My personal style is rooted in creating modern and elegant spaces that go beyond aesthetics—they tell a story. Each space I design reflects the unique visions, lifestyles, and personalities of the people who live or work within them. I believe that a well-designed space should be more than beautiful; it should feel like home, like a sanctuary that speaks to the heart and inspires the soul.
Elegance, for me, is about balance and subtlety. It’s about choosing refined details, clean lines, and timeless elements that create harmony within a space. Modern design allows me to explore innovative ideas, blending contemporary trends with functionality to create spaces that are both stylish and practical.
However, I never design with aesthetics alone in mind. Comfort is at the core of my work. A beautiful space is incomplete if it doesn’t feel inviting, warm, and livable. From carefully selecting plush textiles to incorporating lighting that soothes and enhances the atmosphere, I ensure that every corner of the space feels just right.
Ultimately, my goal is to craft spaces that feel authentic and enduring. A home or workplace should be more than just functional; it should inspire, rejuvenate, and connect. By blending modern elegance with comfort and personality.

Where does your design inspiration come from?

My design inspiration comes from a diverse range of sources that shape my creative vision. Nature, with its organic forms and calming palette, teaches me the power of simplicity and balance. Art ignites my imagination, offering new perspectives and ideas through its textures, colors, and storytelling. Architecture inspires me with its structure and innovation, blending form with function in unique ways. Culture, especially from my time in Dubai and Beijing, enriches my designs with global influences, allowing me to seamlessly weave tradition with modernity. Personal experiences also play a pivotal role, from exploring vibrant cityscapes to quiet moments of reflection. Each element informs my work, enabling me to create spaces that feel authentic, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?

I believe design is moving toward a more human-centered approach, where functionality, sustainability, and emotional connection take center stage. Today’s spaces are no longer just about aesthetics—they are about creating environments that enhance well-being, foster connections, and reflect individuality. There’s a growing emphasis on sustainability, with designers incorporating eco-friendly materials, repurposed furniture, and energy-efficient solutions to create spaces that are both beautiful and mindful of the planet.Additionally, there’s a strong movement toward authenticity and warmth in design, with people embracing personalized interiors that tell their unique stories.
In a general sense, design is becoming more inclusive, thoughtful, and deeply aligned with how people want to live in an ever-changing world.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in the future.

Biophilic Design
Integrating nature into interiors will remain a key trend, with an emphasis on natural materials, indoor plants, and organic forms. Biophilic design promotes well-being by fostering a connection between people and the natural world, creating tranquil and rejuvenating spaces.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Design
The demand for environmentally conscious design will grow, with a focus on repurposed furniture, sustainable materials, and energy-efficient solutions. Eco-friendly design practices will influence both residential and commercial interiors.

Personalized and Storytelling Spaces
Interiors will increasingly reflect individuality, with spaces designed to tell personal stories. From curated art collections to custom-made furniture, people will seek designs that celebrate their unique tastes and experiences.

Multi-Functional and Flexible Spaces
With changing lifestyles, interiors will prioritize adaptability. Spaces that serve multiple purposes—such as home offices doubling as guest rooms—will dominate, along with modular furniture and dynamic layouts.

Warm Bold Interiors
Spaces will blend clean aesthetics with bold, cozy elements. Expect warm, neutral tones paired with textured, patterned materials like linen, creating inviting, balanced interiors. Tactile fabrics and strategic lighting will add comfort and charisma, making spaces not only visually striking but also soothing and welcoming.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to designing, what would it be?

When it comes to design, don’t be afraid to mix styles and experiment with different influences. The key is to stay true to yourself and embrace what genuinely resonates with you. Authenticity is what gives a space its soul, making it uniquely yours. By blending elements that reflect your personality and vision, you can create something truly distinctive and meaningful.

What projects are you currently working on?

What was your favourite project to work on and why?

Mushrif Villa AD was one of my favorite projects because it allowed us to blend classic vintage charm with modern furniture, resulting in a space that felt both timeless and contemporary. The contrast between traditional elements and sleek, modern designs enhanced the overall aesthetic, giving the space a unique and harmonious feel. Working with various renowned brands for furniture, lighting, and fabrics was an incredibly rewarding experience. Each piece contributed its own character and richness to the space, bringing the design to life in the most beautiful way. The combination of these carefully selected elements helped us achieve a final result that was not only visually striking but also comfortable and functional. It was a joy to collaborate with such high-quality brands, and the project remains a true highlight in my design journey.
