MC Interiors has completed a vibrant and welcoming transformation of a 1990s Boca Raton home into a multigenerational retreat that blends art, comfort, and architectural refinement. The project was initiated by a New York couple who envisioned a space that could accommodate both quiet relaxation and lively gatherings with their grandchildren. With a clear desire for a home that was playful yet sophisticated, they turned to trusted collaborators Michael Cox and Zunilda Madera of MC Interiors to lead the design.

Working in collaboration with architect Randall Stofft, architect Fredy Polania, and contractor Michael Burzesi, MC Interiors spearheaded a complete gut renovation that reimagined the home’s flow and feel. Architectural updates included lowering ceilings, raising door heights, and eliminating level changes to create a more fluid and accessible layout. Spaces were defined not with walls but with carefully designed elements, such as a pivoting wood sculpture that subtly separates the entry and dining areas. In the living room, a barrel-vaulted ceiling wrapped in woven natural material became a dramatic focal point.

The interiors curated by MC Interiors reflect a balance of practicality and personality. Durable performance fabrics support daily life, while art and collectible pieces—such as a Gio Ponti desk, Yves Klein table, and David Gilbert mural—add distinct character. Colour plays a key role, with expressive tones linking interior and exterior spaces. A striking floral mosaic in the pool, featuring bumblebee motifs, echoes the home’s joyful spirit.

Through custom woodworking, bespoke tilework, and a thoughtful integration of natural materials, MC Interiors achieved a layered, lived-in aesthetic. The result is a cohesive environment where design serves both function and emotion, bridging generations and seamlessly connecting indoors with the lush, resort-like garden beyond.
