Meraki Wellness

Meraki Wellness has unveiled Grand Cayman’s first purpose built standalone wellness destination on Seven Mile Beach, introducing an immersive environment dedicated to hydrotherapy, beauty, fitness and holistic renewal. Spanning 16,000 square feet along a pristine island shoreline, Meraki Wellness has created a sanctuary defined by serenity and intentional design.

Meraki Wellness developed a soft, neutral palette of off whites, mineral greens and natural tones to cultivate a calm and safe atmosphere distinct from the surrounding island context. More than 25,000 square feet of ceramic and stone surfaces are paired with 7,000 square feet of herringbone patterned hardwood flooring, establishing continuity and rhythm throughout the space. The herringbone motif extends across floors and ceilings to reinforce flow and movement, while domed ceilings punctuate key areas including treatment rooms, the Butterfly Room and the Boutique Emporium.

Hand applied Venetian plaster in soft whites and layered gold tones enhances the tactile quality of the interiors. Every material was selected for its authenticity and contribution to physical and emotional wellbeing. Wood flooring, chosen not only for warmth and visual softness, also provides improved weight absorption for therapists and guests, creating a grounding sensory experience.

Extensive research across the Caribbean and South Florida informed the vision for Meraki Wellness, resulting in a residential, European character that aligns with the adjacent Watermark residences while differentiating the destination from conventional spa design.

At the heart of Meraki Wellness is the 2,500 square foot Mineral Pool, composed of 33,986 handmade green tiles symbolising renewal. With infinity edges on three sides, integrated hydro jets, champagne benches and aqua bikes, the pool supports both restorative and active experiences. A custom designed ceiling, wider at the entrance and narrowing toward the window, enhances movement and frames the pool as the defining centrepiece of this transformative wellness retreat.
