W Sardinia, designed by the acclaimed design firm Meyer Davis, presents a carefully curated composition of land, sea, and narrative, set against the dramatic mountainous landscape of Sardinia’s Poltu Quatu Marina. The project is conceived as a sequential spatial journey, where guests transition from intimate, grotto-like corridors into expansive social environments that reflect the vibrancy of the marina. The architecture, composed of multiple buildings across varied, encourages exploration and creates a dynamic rhythm throughout the site, reinforcing a dialogue between Sardinia’s cultural heritage and contemporary design.

The lobby draws upon the mythology of the Janas, mystical beings believed to inhabit Sardinian caves. This influence is expressed through sculptural forms, diffused lighting, and organic curves reminiscent of coral formations and tidal movement. A refined palette of earthy neutrals, Mediterranean blues, and sandy tones is complemented by ceramics and reflective materials, creating an atmosphere that is both evocative and welcoming. Original architectural elements, including arched openings and Orosei marble flooring, are preserved, ensuring continuity with the site’s history.
