Minarc conceived the interiors as an extension of the surrounding environment. Light, colour and texture are drawn directly from the Icelandic landscape, with references to snow, lava, moss and sunlight translated into plastered concrete walls, slatted oak ceilings and a singular yellow kitchen island that brings warmth and focus to the heart of the home. Minimal partitions allow uninterrupted sightlines from forest to sky, while shifting daylight animates surfaces throughout the day in response to seasonal rhythms.
Furniture and fixtures were designed as integral architectural elements. In the living room, the sculptural DROPi chair functions as both a place of rest and an artistic statement, while custom woodwork and concealed storage preserve visual calm. In the primary suite, a built-in vanity and soaking tub form a seamless retreat oriented toward forest views, reinforcing a sense of quiet intimacy.
