Tell us a little about your background in design:
I appreciate your interest in my background. My journey in the world of design has been a fulfilling and passionate one. I hold a different trainings and interior design classes. This is not your typical type of education, but it laid a strong foundation for my career. However, my true learning and passion for design came from hands-on experiences and exposure to diverse projects. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working on a myriad of design projects, ranging from residential to commercial spaces. Each project has been a unique opportunity to blend creativity with functionality, and I find immense joy in transforming spaces into reflections of my clients’ dreams.

The inception of Noblesse Group was a natural progression, driven by the desire to create a platform where luxury and sophistication converge with personalized design solutions. Our team at Noblesse Group is dedicated to crafting spaces that not only meet high aesthetic standards but also resonate with the individuality of each client. I believe that design is an evolving journey, and I am committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends, innovation, and timeless elegance. Thank you for your curiosity, and I look forward to continuing this exciting design journey.

How would you describe your personal design style?

At Noblesse Group, my approach to design is deeply rooted in the philosophy that elegance lies in the seamless fusion of luxury, functionality, and individuality. I would describe my style as a harmonious blend of timeless sophistication and contemporary innovation. I am drawn to clean lines, refined textures, and a neutral color palette, creating spaces that exude a sense of calm and understated opulence. Simultaneously, I believe in the power of personalized touches and unique design elements that reflect the personality and lifestyle of each client. Versatility is key in my design philosophy, allowing me to create diverse aesthetics that cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Whether it’s a classic, traditional residence or a sleek, modern commercial space, the goal is always to craft an environment that transcends trends and stands the test of time.

Ultimately, my design style revolves around creating immersive experiences within spaces—where every detail is thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of luxury and comfort.

Where does your design inspiration come from?

Design inspiration is a fascinating and ever-evolving aspect of my creative journey. I find inspiration in a multitude of sources, and it’s the eclectic blend of experiences that fuels my design philosophy. Here are some key influences: travel, each place I visit contributes to a reservoir of inspiration, whether it’s the rich history of European architecture or the modern aesthetics of bustling metropolises. Nature, whether it’s the serene colours of a sunset, the texture of a rock formation, or the symmetry found in botanical gardens, nature provides a rich tapestry of elements that often find their way into my designs. Art and history, the world of art, from classical masterpieces to contemporary creations, has a profound influence on my design aesthetic, offers a wealth of design cues—studying the architecture of different eras sparks ideas for blending timeless elements with modern functionality. Our client’s stories – one of the most inspiring aspects of my work is the opportunity to understand my clients’ stories, dreams, and lifestyles. Each project begins with a unique narrative, and this personal connection serves as a guiding force in shaping spaces that are not just visually stunning but also deeply meaningful. In essence, my design inspiration is a mosaic – a collage of experiences, cultures, and a genuine passion for creating spaces that tell stories and elevate the human experience.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?

Design, in its essence, is an ever-evolving journey, and it’s fascinating to witness the current trends shaping the industry. In a general sense, I see several exciting directions in which design is moving.

There is a growing emphasis on personalization and individual expression – design is becoming more personalized, reflecting the unique tastes and stories of individuals. Clients are seeking spaces that feel distinctly their own, and designers are adapting by creating bespoke solutions that cater to these individual expressions.
Timeless elegance, amidst the trends, there is a return to timeless elegance. Classic styles infused with modern elements are making a comeback. Clients are drawn to designs that withstand the test of time, combining sophistication with enduring appeal.
Collaboration and multifunctionality – design is increasingly focusing on collaborative and multifunctional spaces. Whether it’s a home office that seamlessly transforms into a guest room or communal areas that encourage interaction, versatility in design is a key consideration.

These trends collectively indicate a shift towards a more holistic and purpose-driven approach to design. It’s about creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also serve the evolving needs of individuals and communities. Thank you for the thought-provoking question.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2023 and beyond.

Navigating the design landscape in 2023 and beyond involves embracing themes that resonate with the evolving needs and aspirations of individuals. Here are five key themes to consider.
Sustainability is at the forefront. Prioritize eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient solutions, and a commitment to ethical design practices. Strive for a design that minimizes ecological impact while providing enduring beauty.
Wellness-Centric spaces – design with a focus on well-being is paramount. Integrate biophilic elements, prioritize natural light, and create spaces that promote mental and physical health. Consider ergonomic furniture, air quality enhancements, and layouts that foster a sense of tranquillity.
Tech integration – embrace the integration of technology to enhance daily life. Smart home solutions, IoT devices, and innovative tech applications should seamlessly blend with the design, offering convenience and efficiency without compromising aesthetics.
Versatility and adaptable spaces – design with flexibility in mind. Consider multifunctional furniture, adaptable layouts, and spaces that can transform to meet diverse needs. The ability to shift and evolve with the changing requirements of occupants is a key element in modern design.
Cultural diversity and individual expression – celebrate cultural diversity and prioritize designs that reflect the unique stories and expressions of individuals. Create spaces that resonate with a global audience, embracing diverse aesthetics, art, and elements that showcase the rich tapestry of cultural influences.

These themes underscore a holistic approach to design—one that considers not only aesthetics but also the impact on the environment, well-being, technology integration, adaptability, and the celebration of individuality.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?

If I could give my advice into one guiding principle for design schemes, it would be: “Harmony through thoughtful balance.”

Design is a delicate interplay of elements, and achieving harmony requires a thoughtful balance between various aspects. Whether it’s balancing bold statements with subtle nuances, integrating modernity with classic elegance, or finding equilibrium in colour palettes, the key is to strike a balance that resonates with the occupants.

Consider the functionality and aesthetics in equal measure. Allow each element to complement the others, creating a cohesive and visually pleasing composition. It’s this harmonious balance that transforms a space into a truly enchanting and liveable environment.

Remember, design is a journey of discovery, and finding the right equilibrium is what elevates a space from ordinary to extraordinary.

What projects are you currently working on?

Thank you for your interest in our current projects. At Noblesse Group, we are always engaged in a diverse array of design endeavours, each with its unique challenges and creative opportunities. I can share that our current portfolio spans a wide spectrum, including: a resort & spa location, and the future Mercure Hotel in Brasov city.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?

One of the projects that holds a special place in my heart is the Alma Hotel Resort & Spa. This project was a true labour of passion and creativity. In essence, Alma Hotel Resort & Spa represents the epitome of harmonious design, where luxury meets nature, and every element contributes to an experience of refined indulgence. It serves as a testament to the transformative power of design in creating memorable and immersive environments.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?

Certainly, one of the most challenging yet rewarding projects in my career has been the Alma Hotel Resort & Spa. While it brought its share of complexities, it also presented a remarkable opportunity for growth and innovation, and it stands out for several reasons.
The essence of tranquillity – It provided a unique canvas to create a haven of tranquillity. The design aimed to seamlessly blend luxury with a serene atmosphere, offering guests an escape into a world of refined elegance and relaxation.

The integration of nature – inspired by the breathtaking natural surroundings, we incorporated natural elements, ensuring that the design seamlessly connected with the lush landscapes. From windows framing scenic views to wallpaper and the colour pallet, every detail was meticulously crafted to enhance the connection between the interior and the natural world.
The wellness design – given the spa component, we focused on designing spaces that not only catered to aesthetic appeal but also contributed to the holistic well-being of guests. Every corner was thoughtfully curated to create an environment that rejuvenates the senses and promotes balance.

The artistry in details – the Alma project allowed for a meticulous attention to detail. From the selection of materials that exuded sophistication to bespoke furnishings that added a touch of exclusivity, the project was a canvas for artistic expression in every aspect.

The client collaboration – working closely with the Alma team was a collaborative journey marked by mutual trust and shared vision. This collaborative spirit infused the project with a unique energy, resulting in a space that reflected the aspirations and values of the client.
