Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc) :
After getting my design degree in Moscow Russia, I carried on my studies in Florence, Italy and London UK where I have founded my studio and have been based since.

How would you describe your personal design style?
Tailored sophistication with the personal touch

Where does your design inspiration come from?
The source for the studio’s inspiration always serves the unique personality of the client, so Olga offers strong design solutions to create bespoke and remarkable spaces which are most importantly, extremely comfortable for the client and their family.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
I believe almost everyone now understands that interior design is not about chairs and rugs, but about the creation of the environment which gets you in a certain mood, help you relax or get energized gives you a sense of safety and etc. Design now is more driven by personality and not trends as such.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in the future.
Design should reflect the personality of the client or location of the project if the client is not present. Sustainable design and bio hacking are both important. Art is the way to express yourself and add character. Function still might be beautiful. Find the way to surprise.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to designing, what would it be?
Every obstacle is an opportunity.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards? : It is always great to be among likeminded individuals and receive a recognition of the market.
What projects are you currently working on? : Multiple residential properties in UK and Hotel in Italy

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
I love “home away from home” projects. They always allow you to be more creative.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
All of them are challenging but fun.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing? E.g. Lighting companies, furniture companies
I love vintage markets and wouldn’t imagine my work without them

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
To open up a new office in Middle East

My team
