Olga Golberg Studio has unveiled a new owners’ deck concept for an 80 metre yacht, defined by a calm, seamless spatial sequence and a deliberate inside outside equilibrium. The project focuses on three interconnected environments, the owners’ lounge, the main staircase and the owners’ stateroom, each distinct in purpose yet unified through proportion, alignment and visual restraint.

The intention behind the design was to craft an atmosphere of clarity and stillness within the constraints of a yacht’s footprint. Full height glazing and carefully controlled geometries extend sightlines outward, ensuring that water and horizon remain ever-present. Rather than competing with the seascape, the deck is composed to reinforce it, encouraging uninterrupted spatial flow and a centred state of mind for those on board.

The owners’ lounge introduces the tone: understated, measured and free from visual distraction. The main staircase acts as an architectural anchor, providing structured vertical movement, while the stateroom completes the sequence with the same poised spatial rhythm. Each area is scaled to support calm perception, creating a continuum rather than a series of discrete rooms.

The concept draws on the studio’s principle of Stillpoint, the moment when water reaches complete calm and its reflection becomes indistinguishable from form. In this state, horizon and surface merge into a single line, an idea echoed through elongated ceilings, softened edge transitions and reflective surfaces used not decoratively but structurally to dissolve boundaries. Geometry continues rather than breaks; movement is guided without interruption.

Materials follow the same logic of restraint. Earth toned, mineral finishes with controlled contrast maintain visual equilibrium, avoiding vibration and contributing to a sense of quiet confidence. Nothing pulls attention away; everything serves the overarching calm.

Olga Golberg Studio frames the owners’ deck not simply as accommodation but as an intentional, grounding environment. It is a study in balance, reflection and continuity, a space where time slows, the horizon remains constant and the experience of yachting is returned to its most essential state: presence with the water.
