Panoramic Properties recently transformed an Edwardian home into an elegant yet practical family residence, balancing the home’s historical character with a contemporary refresh. The client purchased the long-vacant property with the vision of restoring its original charm while adapting it to meet the needs of modern family life. Tasked with maintaining the property’s historic features, Panoramic Properties embraced a design that respected the home’s Edwardian roots, introducing thoughtful updates to ensure the space suited a young family.

To optimise functionality, Panoramic Properties revised the internal layout and added a spacious kitchen and day-living extension. One key addition is a stunning arched crittal door between the entrance and kitchen, set within an existing archway to maintain continuity. This door allows the spaces to be separated when needed but maximizes light flow, creating a bright, open feel. The new extension, with crittal windows and doors, complements the home’s architectural style while adding a modern touch that welcomes natural light.
The interior palette is kept neutral to highlight a striking deep blue Tom Howley kitchen, accentuated by custom furnishing details like contrast piping on cushions. In the lounge, the design leans slightly more formal with a traditional log burner, stone surround, and cabinetry mirroring the wall panelling.
The Master Suite, a project highlight for Panoramic Properties, reflects the home’s character with a bolder, luxurious design. A custom headboard with curved, fabric-inset panels in green tones brings sophistication, complemented by subtle alabaster lighting and curved bedside tables that mirror the headboard’s intricate details. Downstairs, the basement was transformed from an empty shell into a full leisure suite, complete with a spa, gym, and steam room, featuring textured tiles to complete the spa-like atmosphere.
Panoramic Properties’ careful approach has resulted in a family home that honours its Edwardian heritage while embracing a fresh, contemporary style.
