Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)
I’ve always been drawn to the arts. Starting in film school at Queen’s University, I realized my passion lay in the visual world, especially interior design and fashion. This led me to Parsons School of Design in New York, where I could immerse myself in art, culture, and architectural history. Being dyslexic has shaped how I see the world—thinking three-dimensionally, pushing boundaries, and challenging norms. I approach design with empathy, detail, and dedication, navigating complex projects while creating spaces that feel personal and timeless.
How would you describe your personal design style?
Timeless, personalized, internationally influenced, and always unique to each client.
Where does your design inspiration come from?
Architecture, fashion, old-world craftsmanship, travel, nature, and historical references.
What was your favourite project to work on and why?
Cedar Crescent, because of the trust and creative freedom the clients gave me, allowing us to curate a home with exceptional craftsmanship and artistry.
What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
One of the most challenging projects we’ve worked on is Cedar Crescent, a heritage property that demanded an exceptional level of detail and customization. Every element of the construction and design was meticulously tailored, from the intricate metal inlays in the flooring to the parchment details in the millwork. The design features hand-painted de Gournay wallpaper sourced from France, along with globally inspired light fixtures and furnishings that were curated during procurement trips with the client to Thailand, New York, Paris, and London. This project stands out as a true showcase of globally inspired design and an unparalleled commitment to craftsmanship, reflecting the complexity and ambition of creating a cohesive yet intricate masterpiece.
Which products/services could you not live without when designing?
Lighting, furniture, and textiles—each plays a vital role in creating a cohesive and inspiring space.
