Tell us a little about your background in design:
I’ve loved drawing since childhood, especially capturing natural subjects like fruit and flowers. That early fascination with nature’s shapes and colours sparked a lifelong passion for creativity.
My GCSE art and textiles tutor was a key influence—she introduced me to the ways different materials can shape and inform design. This inspiration led me to pursue a Foundation Year in Art and Design, followed by a degree in Interior Design.
After graduating, I found myself drawn to kitchens and bathrooms. I began working with high-end products and finishes and discovered a particular interest in the functionality and detail of these spaces. Designing environments that are both beautiful and practical became a true passion.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with companies that not only gave me invaluable experience and broadened my technical knowledge but also supported my creativity and encouraged me to develop my own design voice.

How would you describe your personal design style?
I would describe my personal style as a balance of beautiful aesthetics and practical functionality. I believe a space should not only look visually appealing, but also feel warm, personal, and functional—a place you genuinely want to spend time in.
My designs are created to support everyday life, ready to handle its chaos while offering a sense of calm and serenity. Each project is unique, shaped by a deep understanding of the client’s individual needs, desires, and lifestyle. I aim to translate their vision into a space that feels both thoughtfully designed and truly lived in.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
My design inspiration comes from the world around me—travel, nature, and everyday surroundings. I’m drawn to the way materials, textures, and colours interact in harmony, often taking cues from natural landscapes, architecture, or even the smallest details in daily life. These experiences influence how I approach each space—with a focus on balance, authenticity, and connection.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
I believe design is moving toward more inclusive, user-friendly spaces—ones that thoughtfully accommodate multi-generational needs within a single environment.
We’re seeing a stronger emphasis on flexibility and longevity, ensuring that spaces can adapt as people’s lifestyles evolve. In addition, the connection between indoor and outdoor living is becoming increasingly important, with more designs embracing natural light, biophilic elements, and seamless transitions between inside and out.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in the future.
Indoor-outdoor living
Sustainability
Versatility
Quality of materials
Adaptability

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to designing, what would it be?
Truly listen to your client—understand their needs, wants, and lifestyle requirements. Then, use your expertise to guide them toward the right design direction. It’s about translating their vision into a space that not only looks beautiful but works seamlessly for how they live.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
The International Design and Architecture awards play a vital role in celebrating creativity, innovation, and excellence across the industry. They provide a platform to showcase outstanding talent on a global scale, helping to set benchmarks for quality and originality.
Beyond recognition, these awards are a rich source of inspiration and learning. They encourage designers to push boundaries, stay curious, and continually evolve by seeing how others approach challenges and express ideas.

What projects are you currently working on?
We’re currently in the midst of installing another beautifully considered space that explores a rich mix of materials, textures, and natural tones. This project continues our passion for designing environments that feel both grounded and elevated.
A key element of this design is the seamless connection between indoors and outdoors—further embracing the concept of indoor-outdoor living. It’s about creating a space that not only looks stunning but truly enhances the way our clients experience their home, every day, specifically for a family who loves cooking together and entertaining.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
One of my favourite projects was the design we recently entered into the awards. The clients wanted a space that balanced modern and classic—minimal in style but full of character. The property itself was a contemporary building situated right next to a stunning old church, with the church’s historic brick walls forming the backdrop to the client’s garden.
This unique setting offered an incredible opportunity to blend old and new, and the clients were open-minded and gave us the creative freedom to explore ideas. Being able to create a space that respects the context while reflecting the clients’ vision made this project truly rewarding.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
One of the most challenging projects we’ve worked on is one we’re currently completing—a kitchen and utility space within a converted old barn. The character of the building is beautiful, but it brought a unique set of challenges: original oak beams and pillars, curved and uneven plastered walls, sloping floors, and a floating mezzanine directly above the heart of the kitchen.
Balancing the architectural quirks with the practical needs of a modern kitchen took careful planning, creative problem-solving, and a lot of flexibility. Every element had to be tailored to fit the space precisely, from cabinetry to structural adjustments. Despite the complexity, it’s been incredibly rewarding to honour the building’s history while creating a functional, elegant space for modern living.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing?
One of the most essential tools in our design process is the CAD visualisation software we use. It allows us to create accurate, flowing designs that fit perfectly within the space—supporting everything from spatial planning to furniture placement. Most importantly, it helps clients truly visualise and understand how their space will look and feel before anything is built.
In terms of products, our trusted furniture suppliers—Pronorm and Cubic—are invaluable. Their high-quality, flexible ranges give us the freedom to be imaginative and tailor each design to suit the unique needs of our clients, without compromising on style or functionality.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
Over the next year, our focus is on continuing to create beautiful, functional spaces that truly enhance the way people live. We aim to grow our brand presence, reaching a wider audience who value thoughtful, considered design.
A key goal is to further educate and inspire clients about the benefits of indoor-outdoor living—showing how seamlessly connecting these environments can transform a home’s atmosphere, usability, and sense of well-being.
