RON DESIGN Articious Co.,Ltd. has completed a layered interior design project that reimagines a 40 year old RC residence as a contemporary urban home shaped by travel, culture and modern living. Designed for clients with a jetsetter lifestyle, the renovation goes far beyond a surface update, instead treating architectural reorganisation and interior design as one integrated process that respects the strength of the existing structure while transforming how the home is experienced.

The International Design & Architecture Awards 2026
Although the building was structurally sound, its original layout no longer reflected current lifestyles or regulations. RON DESIGN Articious Co.,Ltd. focused on unlocking the potential of the existing volume, carefully redistributing functions across the floors to create a richer and more flexible living environment. The most significant move was relocating the living, dining and kitchen space to the fourth floor. Initially constrained by low ceiling heights, the space was rethought after reviewing original drawings that revealed usable ceiling voids, allowing the top floor to become a light filled and open heart of the home.
From this level, RON DESIGN Articious Co.,Ltd. also established direct access to the rooftop, adding an outdoor layer that brings sky, air and seasonal change into everyday urban life. Below, the third floor was planned as a guest oriented level with bedrooms, shared water facilities and a laundry, creating a calm, hotel like atmosphere that supports both visitors and daily family routines.
The second floor houses the entrance and master bedroom, conceived by RON DESIGN Articious Co.,Ltd. as an intellectual and artistic retreat defined by restrained colours and carefully selected materials. At basement level, an adaptable man cave was created, with sliding partitions connecting media, bar, bedroom and shower areas to support both social and solitary moments.
Throughout the home, RON DESIGN Articious Co.,Ltd. introduced wallpaper by Blackpop, layered lighting and soft shadows to evoke the feeling of spaces discovered while travelling. The result is an urban residence that unfolds like a journey, offering depth, quietness and emotional balance within the framework of an existing building.
