The Crest Club at the Madeline Hotel & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection in Telluride, designed by Rose Ink Workshop, is an intimate, alpine-inspired members’ retreat that blends warmth, layered textures, artisanal details, and effortless luxury, evoking the atmosphere of a curated French chalet. Conceived as a private sanctuary, the space is reminiscent of a perfectly appointed great room in the French Alps, offering a quiet, welcoming, and timeless environment.

The design carefully balances comfort and refinement. A cozy lounge features private lockers and a bespoke bar framed by marble, wood, and blackened steel fireplaces, emphasizing craftsmanship and understated luxury. Vintage-inspired mohair and wool furnishings, rich textiles, and leather-inset tables create a layered alpine aesthetic that enhances the space’s tactile warmth.

The jewel-box Falcon Room adds an additional dimension of intimacy and elegance, illuminated by alabaster sconces and amber chandeliers. A scalloped tile bar, topped with veined Bianco Ondulato marble and wrapped in reclaimed, lime-washed wood with hand-painted leaf carvings, fuses artisanal detail with enduring materiality. A tonal faux bois carpet and curated artwork, including a painting of Wilson Peak, integrate the surrounding alpine landscape into the interior.

The Crest Club embodies the essence of an alpine retreat: layered, comfortable, and thoughtfully composed. By prioritising atmosphere and experience over formality, the design achieves a sense of authenticity, with intimate seating nooks, artisanal details, and tactile finishes that encourage members to linger, connect, and feel at home. Drawing inspiration from the region’s natural palette and mountain architecture, the interiors provide a warm refuge after a day outdoors, seamlessly integrating into Telluride’s environment while maintaining a distinct, luxurious, and approachable character.
