Stephanie Wilde Interior Design

Stephanie Wilde Interior Design has accomplished a remarkable transformation at Cranage Manor House, a distinguished Grade II listed home nestled in the heart of Cheshire. Tasked with revitalising the ground floor of this historic residence, Stephanie Wilde and her team have turned what was once a soulless space into a unique haven, tailored to the lifestyle and needs of their clients.

With an eye for preserving the original features of the house, the team at Stephanie Wilde Interior Design worked diligently to enhance the existing charm. The ground floor now boasts various living spaces, each designed to meet the diverse needs of the clients. A snug, a formal lounge, and a great hall entertaining space were meticulously crafted to reflect the client’s sociable and family-oriented lifestyle.

Drawing inspiration from the clients’ preferences and incorporating sentimental items such as bespoke transport artwork and cigar boxes, Stephanie Wilde Interior Design conceived a “whisky lounge” theme. The result is an indulgent and inviting space that brings the old property to life with bold features and carefully chosen colours.

The bar area and entertainment room, a focal point of the redesign, were strategically divided by wallpapering the ceiling of the bar space. This not only zoned the area but also added a beautiful reflection, mimicking the double-height space. The bar itself features a stunning slab of marble, adding personality while maintaining a cohesive theme.

Stephanie Wilde Interior Design’s approach to Cranage Manor House is a masterclass in harmonising modern design with the historic charm of a centuries-old estate. The original beams were tastefully toned down to avoid overpowering the space, and a careful colour palette was chosen to seamlessly integrate the old with the new. The result is a space that doesn’t feel like you’re sitting in it; rather, you’re sitting with it.

This transformative design not only meets but exceeds the client’s expectations. The space is not just aesthetically pleasing; it has become a central hub for family gatherings, entertaining, and a testament to Stephanie Wilde Interior Design’s commitment to bringing historic houses to life in a way that is sympathetic to their unique character.
