Studio Asterix Interior Design has unveiled a tranquil and refined riverside residence designed for an international client seeking a serene London base. Situated within Ballymore’s Riverscape Development along the Thames, the project focused on creating a contemporary pied-à-terre that exudes calm and comfort. Studio Asterix Interior Design was tasked with designing the furniture, fixtures, and equipment to suit the client’s brief for a personal, peaceful retreat that evoked the feel of their overseas home.

Working fully remotely, Studio Asterix Interior Design embraced the creative freedom granted by the client, allowing their vision to shape every detail of the apartment. The design approach was rooted in contextual awareness, blending contemporary lines with organic elements to reflect the riverside setting. A palette of neutral tones with deep blues created a sense of understated elegance while enhancing the apartment’s connection to the Thames.

Functionality was a key focus throughout. The team ensured all furniture pieces offered both comfort and durability, while bespoke joinery maximised storage without compromising style. The design placed strong emphasis on tactile materials and thoughtful proportions to ensure the space flowed naturally and maintained a harmonious aesthetic.

One of the defining qualities of this project was the seamless collaboration between Studio Asterix Interior Design and the client, despite geographic distance. Their shared trust resulted in an interior that is both cohesive and deeply personal. From the softness of upholstery to the natural textures chosen, every element was carefully curated to provide an effortless escape from urban life.

Drawing inspiration from the Thames, the final result is a timeless and luxurious sanctuary that captures the elegance of its surroundings while providing the functionality and warmth of a true home.
