StudioTwenty Limited is leading the transformation of one of Derbyshire’s most iconic structures, the Grade II* listed Riber Castle in Matlock. Set high above the Derwent Valley, the Victorian Gothic landmark has long captured the imagination of locals and visitors, yet decades of disuse left much of the building in a derelict state. Originally built in 1862 by John Smedley as a private residence, the castle later housed a boys’ school and eventually a wildlife park, its varied history adding layers of character but also contributing to its deterioration.
