Overlooking the Moscow River, this 111-square-meter apartment serves as the personal residence of interior designers Tatiana Alenina and Vladimir Krasilnikov. Designed as a reflection of their artistic vision and emotional sensibility, the project merges collectible design, sculptural form, and architectural fluidity into a deeply personal yet universally resonant space.

From the outset, the open-plan layout and sweeping panoramic views inspired a concept built on spatial continuity and emotional openness. The designers embraced the idea of a seamless, circular flow, ensuring the interior remained unrestricted and intuitive, while still addressing all functional requirements. Floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides allow for a generous influx of natural light, further enhancing the sense of expansiveness.

A quarter of the space is reserved for functional zones — including the entrance hall, bathrooms, laundry, and walk-in wardrobe — while the remaining layout unfolds into a unified living area and private quarters. Pivoting doors subtly define the bedroom without disrupting spatial harmony.

Material richness and tactile quality are central to the design. A restrained palette of monochromatic finishes including wood, leather, metal, linen, ceramics, suede, and cashmere, supports the use of black as a dominant, sculptural element. Here, black is not merely a color but a philosophy, embodying presence, intimacy, and strength.

The apartment features custom-designed furnishings and collectible pieces by Roxana Lahidji and Niclas Wolf, alongside handcrafted elements created in collaboration with Sergey Kartashov’s studio. Artworks by Vitaly Pushnitsky and Alexander Morozov further deepen the emotional and conceptual layers, culminating in a serene, curated home that celebrates craftsmanship, clarity, and cultural expression.
