The client, who came to Todd James Handcrafted Kitchens through a recommendation after a successful project for his sister, trusted the company to deliver a kitchen that was not only functional but also elegant and inviting. Over the course of two years, four variations of the original design were explored, with minor adjustments made to balance aesthetics and cost-saving considerations. The result was a project that exceeded the client’s expectations and provided them with a kitchen they immediately loved.
The heart of the design is the striking 4.8-meter island, which serves as both a visual centrepiece and a practical space for dining and entertaining. Its natural stone worktops and carefully crafted seating for six make it a multifunctional area perfect for family gatherings and hosting guests.
The seamless flow between the kitchen, utility room, wine store, and bar showcases Todd James’ attention to detail. This thoughtful layout enhances both daily routines and entertaining experiences, offering smooth transitions between spaces. A standout feature of the project is the ornate mantle surround, paired with a book-matched natural stone backsplash, which adds a touch of elegance to the overall design.
