Trevor McDonnell Kitchens was entrusted with the task of transforming an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area into a functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing heart of the home. The clients envisioned distinct zones within the open layout while maintaining a cohesive flow throughout the space.

The primary design objective was to create a bright, airy kitchen for a young family, accommodating multiple users and facilitating smooth movement and access. A timeless and classic design was paramount, aiming to enhance the home’s value. The clients emphasized their preference for symmetry and desired a statement feature mantle as a focal point in the kitchen. They were particularly drawn to an off-white color scheme, which complements the abundant natural light in the room, ensuring a clean and elegant aesthetic. The inclusion of a mirror splashback was another essential feature, chosen to amplify the brightness by reflecting light throughout the space.
