VICEROY is a self-initiated VVIP cabin concept for the Airbus ACJ320neo, developed by Jorge de Luis Design, Markus Stephan and RENDA Limited for the Latin American ultra-high-net-worth market. The concept offers an alternative to the European luxury codes commonly associated with VVIP aviation interiors, drawing instead on the shared cultural identity of the Hispanic world.
The design takes inspiration from the Spanish Viceregal tradition, a period in which craftsmanship, materials and ornament travelled between Spain and the Americas and evolved through that exchange. Rather than reproducing its historic aesthetic, VICEROY translates its defining theatrical use of light and darkness into a contemporary CMF language known as Quiet Chiaroscuro.
