West Nine Studio has transformed a 4,520-square-foot, three-bedroom duplex townhouse into an exquisite blend of Georgian-era charm and modern luxury. The project focused on restoring historical details while incorporating contemporary functionality to create a spacious, elegant home ideal for both living and entertaining.

The ground floor underwent a complete reconfiguration, evolving from a series of smaller rooms and sleeping quarters into an expansive living and entertaining space. West Nine Studio carefully restored architectural features to preserve the property’s historical character, including tall Georgian-style doors, intricate cornices, and a stone-surround fireplace. The addition of parquet flooring and panelling further amplified the grandeur, while window drapery on the Juliette doors added a sophisticated finishing touch.

One of the standout features is the fireplace, which combines functionality and sculptural elegance. Inspired by the surrounding natural landscape, the marble fireplace pairs beautifully with the warm, grainy wood textures used throughout the interior. This interplay between materials creates a harmonious contrast, grounding the home with an inviting, organic feel.
