Wolf Lewitt Interiors

Wolf Lewitt Interiors has completed the transformation of a London pied à terre overlooking one of Chelsea’s leafy garden squares, creating a serene family home that balances understated elegance with a strong sense of individuality.

Located within a grand redbrick Victorian building, the residence spans two floors and was designed to provide a calm and refined backdrop for the owners’ extensive art collection and eclectic furnishings. The brief challenged Wolf Lewitt Interiors to honour the property’s historic character while adapting it to suit a contemporary family lifestyle. Central to the vision was the creation of a home that felt peaceful and cohesive, allowing personal collections and treasured pieces to take centre stage.

To achieve this, Wolf Lewitt Interiors adopted a pared back design approach focused on clean lines, soft colours and carefully layered textures. Rather than introducing bold decorative gestures, the studio concentrated on creating a subtle architectural framework that would support the family’s lifestyle and enhance the visual impact of their artwork. The result is a home that feels both sophisticated and deeply personal.

A key feature of the project is the consistency of the interior palette. Wolf Lewitt Interiors selected a single warm white tone for the walls throughout the property, creating a unified sense of flow between rooms. Decorative mouldings were introduced to enrich the architectural character of the spaces, while ceilings were finished in the same warm white colour but with a high gloss treatment to add depth and visual interest. Wallpaper was reserved for selected areas, providing moments of contrast within the overall scheme.

The studio also ensured that each of the family’s three children had an opportunity to shape their own bedrooms. Individual briefs informed the design of these spaces, allowing each room to express its occupant’s personality while remaining connected to the wider aesthetic of the home.

Through careful restraint and thoughtful detailing, Wolf Lewitt Interiors has delivered a quietly expressive residence that celebrates Victorian architecture, contemporary living and the unique character of the family who call it home.
