Resulting from a trip to S.Miguel, the Azores chandelier recreates a weeping willow found near a lagoon and freezes a moment of contemplation. Born in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the archipelago of the Azores was formed by volcanic activity and belongs to the Portuguese territory. S. Miguel, the most exuberant of its islands, is a paradise covered in dense nature with hundreds of plant species that exhibit their different shades of green along the landscapes.
The Azores chandelier is a luxuriant lighting piece made with handcrafted brass leaves finished with a shiny gold bath that subtly allow the rays of light to pierce them and illuminate the surroundings as a gift of nature. Having been inspired by a real moment, the Azores chandelier carries emotion and symbolism. Azores is a captivating, handcrafted sculpture that results from many hours of meticulous work. One by one, each brass leaf is welded and thus allows to create a stunning lighting piece. The Azores chandelier works so well as it is completely unique. It is a suspended sculpture that combines the elegant simplicity of details with an exuberant design – A must have for luxury interiors.
The Azores chandelier is a result of many hours of skilled work as each brass leaf is welded one by one. Time and perfection are two mandatory elements to produce a quality work. The chandelier receives a final gold bath that highlights the mirrored aspect and reflects the light. A final touch is also done manually with small adjustments so that each single branch acquires the perfect shape, thus allowing this lighting piece to dazzle the environment around it.
