The House of Metric have been shortlisted for The Bedroom Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2023.

The House of Metric embarked on a unique project inspired by a client’s request to recreate the exquisite ambiance of the iconic Ritz Carlton Paris in their own bedroom. The client longed to immerse themselves in the same captivating vibe of the hotel. To bring their vision to life, they shared a colour palette they adored, serving as the foundation for the designers’ creative process.

The designers meticulously studied the Ritz Carlton Paris, drawing inspiration from its timeless allure and elegance. They recognised the significance of light pastel colours, which lend an air of tranquillity and sophistication, and decided to incorporate them into the bedroom’s design. Soft hues of blush, ivory, and mint adorned the room, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere that evoked a sense of calm reminiscent of the beloved hotel.

To further amplify the classic hotel look, the designers meticulously crafted intricate gold detailing throughout the bedroom. Delicate gold accents adorned the furniture, mirrors, and fixtures, adding a touch of opulence and glamour. These subtle yet striking elements served as a nod to the grandeur of the Ritz Carlton Paris, while infusing the client’s personal sanctuary with a timeless elegance.

One cannot overlook the attention paid to the decorative wall and ceiling mouldings, which played a pivotal role in capturing the essence of a Parisian hotel. Elaborate patterns and intricate designs adorned the room, bringing an air of architectural refinement to the bedroom. The ceiling mouldings added depth and texture, creating a sense of grandeur reminiscent of the Ritz Carlton Paris.

As the designers meticulously translated the client’s desires into a reality, the bedroom began to exude the same enchanting charm found within the esteemed hotel. Upon the final reveal, the client was filled with elation and admiration for The House of Metric’s exceptional work. The bedroom encapsulated their vision with remarkable precision, allowing them to bask in the same ambiance that had captivated them by the Ritz Carlton Paris.
