Wave Collection by Curiousa

Curiousa have been shortlisted for Lighting – Collection Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2023.

The WAVE COLLECTION uses LED technology to create a beam of light through clear and diffused free-blown coloured glass shapes.

The key aspect of the Wave Collection is that each piece produces a streamlined, modern aesthetic but using organic shapes and a natural colour palette. These lights are also amazingly adaptable as they can be designed with any configuration, to work within any space and any colour palette with 22 colours options.

Combining the organic nature of free-blown glass with a modern aesthetic, the Wave Collection draws on historical references to create contemporary sculptural lighting forms. Floating, juxtaposed, soft linear light creates a wonderful atmosphere of effortlessness and a sense of colours floating on air.

Each lighting piece is carefully curated and hand-assembled in our Derbyshire workshop, with every piece of glass free-blown in the UK, without the use of moulds, using just the skill of hand and eye to guide each shape.

Curiousa

Curiousa source all their hand-blown glass from the UK. 70% of their crystal glass is recycled Dartington glass. The products are built for longevity and packaged using 80% compostable or recyclable materials. Curiousa also offer a repair and refurbishment service and any Curiousa light can be refreshed by creating new arrangements by swapping or adding new pieces to a collection.
