Jane Price-Stephens Interior Design has recently completed a project in Cervinia, Italy, redefining the concept of alpine living. The client’s vision was to create a luxurious and welcoming home away from home for their family, while also offering a stunning destination for luxury rentals. The result is Il Gufo, a chalet boasting bespoke contemporary interior design and a range of extraordinary features.

Every aspect of Il Gufo has been thoughtfully crafted to provide a unique experience. Each bedroom has been individually designed to create a luxurious and personalized space for guests. The chalet offers a variety of amenities to indulge in, including a spa complete with a 10-meter pool, gym, steam room, and outdoor jacuzzi. The entertainment options are endless, with a state-of-the-art cinema, pool table, table tennis, table football, and a private bar in the enviable games room. There are also multiple luxurious entertaining spaces where guests can relax and reconnect with family and friends.

Jane Price-Stephens Interior Design worked closely with their longstanding client to challenge the traditional norms of chalet design and create a truly remarkable living space in the Alps. The living room and dining area showcase uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn, expertly framed by organic shapes, textures, and contrasting light and dark elements. The result is a space that is both welcoming and visually captivating.

Il Gufo’s location is equally enchanting. Nestled in the forest beside a stream and surrounded by accessible ski slopes, the chalet seamlessly integrates with the surrounding environment. Guests can immerse themselves in the breathtaking views of the iconic Matterhorn and the magnificent mountain ranges that surround the chalet. Access to Il Gufo is via a private tunnel carved under the ski slope, ensuring the utmost privacy for guests.
