Tell us a little about your background in design:
I studied Interior Design at Kingston University and have worked in London as a designer ever since. Most of my career to date has focussed on luxury high end residential interiors, and hotels.

How would you describe your personal design style?
I have an appreciation for all design styles and believe the approach should work with the surrounding environment and the personality of the person living in the space. I am just as happy in an eclectic, rustic cabin in the woods as I am in a very contemporary minimalist home by the beach

Where does your design inspiration come from?
Creative people are constantly being inspired and influence by all that surrounds them. We are lucky enough to work with some world-renowned suppliers/designers which always brings inspiration to a project.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
I hope there will be more emphasis on designing and sourcing materials sustainably, especially in the luxury design market. Making use of existing materials to avoid waste, refurbishing and repurposing where possible.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2022 and beyond.
Eclectic minimal style, use of natural materials, mixtures of woods, introduce fun and playfulness, paradoxical colours and textures designed with intent

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
It is important to really get to know clients and their aspirations so that you can provide a concept and vision for the project, which can be carried through to completion.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
The International Design & Architecture Awards are a fantastic opportunity to showcase our best projects to a discerning, international audience. We acknowledge the connections it brings to the industry and press.

What projects are you currently working on?
We are currently working on a lot of very exciting luxury residential projects with a number coming to completion. This includes a 22,000 sqft contemporary new build that we have been involved with from planning to completion with our service covering all aspects of interior design down to styling accessories.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
Working with a tech entrepreneur to design and style their new family home was a lot of fun! Working with his creative mind really enabled us to push the boundaries on how we use technology and integrated into the interiors.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
Every project brings its own challenges and delights, whether it is being sensitive to heritage constraints, designing to a tight budget, integrating tech or dealing with change. When projects stop being a challenge, they will stop being interesting, so I relish challenge.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing?
My phone! Whether it is Pinterest, Instagram or referring to photos of something that has inspired me, my phone is always to hand.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
We are looking to push the state of the art in terms of design and technology while making sure the atmosphere and mood of our projects are always feeling homely. We aim to achieve this in our residential and hospitality projects

Final thoughts; tell us a little more about yourself and your daily inspirations:

Your most treasured possession?
I tend not to put importance on objects!

Your favourite holiday destination?
Anywhere in the countryside! especially if the place has is an open fire

Your favourite hotel, restaurant & bar?
A local relaxed pub, and lucky East London has a lot to choose from.

Your favourite book, film & song?
I don’t have favourites; I like to stay open to new suggestions and ideas and living in London always offers something new.

Your favourite food and drink?
I am always in the mood for a delicious selection of cheese and wine.

Your favourite way to spend an afternoon?
Reading on my balcony with a coffee is always a way for me to switch off and have some ‘me’ time!

If you weren’t a designer, what would you be?
I would really love to take part in some field work, using my design skills to contribute to NGO’s.
