Morpheus & Co have been shortlisted for Ski Chalet Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2023.

Morpheus & Co recently completed a stunning interior design project in the heart of the Megeve resort in the French Alps. The project involved a full FF&E design, procurement, and installation for a private client in a four-bedroom chalet.

The client’s brief was to create a chalet that exudes a fun and modern ambiance while drawing inspiration from the surrounding Alpine forests and lakes. Morpheus & Co expertly combined shades of blue, green, and earthy tones to achieve a natural and welcoming atmosphere. The interior design features unique furniture shapes and captivating artwork that adds character and charm to the space.

The chalet’s interiors boast a modern and inviting aesthetic, with an abundance of natural textures and colours that create a comfortable and cosy ambiance. During the day, the chalet is flooded with natural light, providing a bright and uplifting environment. In the evenings, it transforms into a serene and relaxing space for guests to unwind after a day on the slopes.

While the design interpretation is more modern, it still pays homage to the traditional Alpine chalet style, ensuring a blend of comfort and elegance. The versatile design is suitable for both family guests and adult groups, offering a space that caters to various preferences and needs.

As the chalet would be rented out for part of the season, durability and robustness were crucial aspects of the design and furnishings. Morpheus & Co expertly balanced style and elegance with practicality, providing deep comfort for tired skiers while ensuring the design can withstand frequent use.

One of the standout features of the chalet is the bespoke dining room table, which draws inspiration from the surrounding forest. The table’s base resembles tree trunks with varying radiuses, supporting a stunning forest green tabletop. This unique piece perfectly encapsulates the natural theme and adds an artistic touch to the dining area.

Throughout the chalet, Morpheus & Co maintained a palette of natural tones, blending modern finishes with traditional pine chalet elements to harmonize with the local architecture. The result is a chic, contemporary, and inviting chalet that seamlessly blends with its Alpine surroundings, offering guests a memorable and enjoyable experience in the heart of the French Alps.
