Kravet Inc. have been Shortlisted for Bespoke Cabinetry Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2021.

The Frank Cabinet is inspired by architectural layering seen in mid-century Brutalism and functions beautifully as a bar cabinet or storage. Guiding his sequel to the first Michael Berman Collection for Kravet, Michael Berman sketched out a cohesive line that unites previous successes with his new designs for a wonderfully balanced and decidedly 21st Century direction.

Intertwining his love for curvilinear forms, mid-century modernism and classic original lines, the new collection has an intrinsically sensuous layering. Among the many incredibly detailed silhouettes is the striking Frank Cabinet, a statement piece that is versatile enough to outfit many rooms in the home. The Frank Cabinet reflects on some favourite inspirations: the curated mix of vintage American Modernism, the influence of 1950’s Euro-mode curves and layered architectural 1970’s Brutalist forms along with the restrained clean lines for which he is known for.

Designed as an anchor to a room, the Frank Cabinet functions beautifully as a bar cabinet or storage for linen or objects. The exterior is inspired by the architectural layering seen in Brutalism forms from the mid-century era with refined lightness. The Frank Cabinet from the MBII collection for Kravet epitomises the new casual lifestyle that interior designers and architects are enthusiastic for in their own creations coast to coast. Reinforcing the importance of details, scale, integration and necessity for ultimate design.

Specialist skills were used throughout the design of the cabinet with layered wood creating dimension and texture. The interior is illuminated by two recessed LED lights and a softly reflective mirrored back. Brass integrated handles and brass boots add a warmth of metal to this piece.
