Designed by Morgante Wilson Architects, the house showcases a gentle curve and harmoniously blends into the hillside, granting each room a breathtaking view of the ocean. Constructed using poured-in-place concrete, the structure was meticulously crafted to endure the fierce hurricanes common during the season. To soften the exterior, traditional architectural elements were incorporated, including intricate exterior trim profiles, red clay tile roofing, Tuscan columns, mahogany windows, and local stone cladding.
Through elegant elliptical arches, occupants can appreciate the panoramic vista of St. Thomas Island, framed by the infinity edge pool that seamlessly merges with a fountain and foot wash located below the property’s private beachfront. The seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces is facilitated by sliding glass doors, open terraces, and balconies. The interior design exudes a transitional aesthetic, embracing a clean and effortless island lifestyle. Organic and natural materials were thoughtfully chosen to enhance the inherent beauty of the surrounding landscape. The color palette draws inspiration from the enchanting blue-green hues of the ocean that envelop the mountainous island.
This family home boasts five master suites, each featuring an open-air shower that provides both privacy and a connection with nature while enjoying the mesmerizing view.
