Tell us a little about your background in design:
Graduated from B.N college of architecture as certified interior designer in 2010 (Pune) India. Worked with Delhi based design firms working on several restaurant, boutique hotels and Luxury residential projects. Set up my design firm in U.K after moving from my Native North India.

How would you describe your personal design style?
I like to create interiors that are brave an experimental while honouring classic design principles.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
I think my schemes take their lead intuitively from the personal stories of my clients. A particular wallpaper that sparks the imagination may inspire a scheme, or it may be a treasured memento or a piece of artwork. I take my cue from tradition but I like to lend it a twist. I firmly believe a house should be a reflection of clients taste and character of a space needs to be maintained.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Definitely more accepting towards individualistic choices. Bold and much more character infused spaces which I think is phenomenal.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2023 and beyond.

  1. Textures will get more profound.
  2. Heavy veined marbles will definitely stay and slay.
  3. Dark , dreamy and dramatic colours will be more common.
  4. Mixing of metals are definitely and new and great trend now.
  5. Innovative ways to light a room will be surely my favourite one.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
I believe that the universe rewards the brave. I admire those who redefine the rules and firmly believe that a great design is a step ahead of being fearless. so, be brave in the design choices is what I can advise.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
The International Design & Architecture Awards recognise and celebrate great designs, brave minds and the creativity behind it. For anyone to be awarded one of these awards brings great motivation to continue creating excellent work.

What projects are you currently working on?
Recent projects include an Edwardian family home and an apartment at London’s Hyde Park. Upcoming design projects also include a family home in Hamstead and Northwood.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
A 670 sqm family house, located in North London. The design style client desired was unusual. After establishing a deep understanding of clients’ tastes, clients had put commendable amount of trust in us. That led to a spectacular house which was beyond the expectations to all.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
I will say when the covid hit and projects suffered a great time lag became a massive challenge to source products and get things moving.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing.
Difficult to point out one but lighting design is crucial to make or breaking a design scheme. We pay deep emphasis and thrive to create captivating layers to bring out the right ambience and focus on textures and materials

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
Focusing on all the beautiful residential projects we have whilst also being on an outlook of opportunities to design boutique hotels. We are expanding our team massively so that’s very exciting as well.
