Tell us a little about your background in design:
I started interning for a luxury interior design company in Manchester when I was 18 years old. Since then, I have been immersed in the world of design. I continued working throughout university and when I got my degree in interior architecture at 21 years old, I moved to Dubai to experience new cultures and focus on travelling, inspired by the experiences I had and the places I visited I returned to the UK and set up my own company in 2020.
How would you describe your personal design style?
My personal style is best described as classic contemporary, based around sculpture and form with neutral pallets. We focus on luxurious finishes from interior architecture to joinery though to furniture and styling. What I love most about the design industry is that each client and property is so different, no project is the same.
Where does your design inspiration come from?
My dedication to being permanently unique. I am constantly thinking ‘what next’. I pride myself on each piece of work being better and more inventive than the last.
In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Designers are pushing the boundaries more than ever before. Eclectic interiors that host a variation of styles with undertones of luxury are coming into their own. The idea of ‘luxury’ has moved from commercial strait-laced brands to individual bespoke designs with more eccentricity and flamboyancy.
Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2022 and beyond.
I don’t like to follow trends. I believe in timeless luxury design that stands the test of time.
If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
Start with a concept that has meaning to the project, whether it’s the location, style of building, client’s way of life, there needs to be direction and reasoning behind your design choices. This will ensure that everything is chosen with conviction and flows cohesively. Find a starting point that thrills you, whether it’s ripping pages from a magazine, a Pinterest board, a piece of artwork or furniture and take it from there!
How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
The awards allow designers to come together and celebrate each other’s work. For designers’ recognition is everything.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
I love collaborating with clients who are as excited about the project as we are. I have been fortunate to build close relationships with our clients, who have become close friends.
What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
I believe that the only way to create a great, original design is to push out of your comfort zone. This can sometimes be confronting, and you may doubt if you are on the right track, but the result will be worth it.
