Tell us a little about your background in design:
I am an interior designer from Guadalajara Mexico and the mission of my company is to transform the lives of the people by the spaces we design. We are passionate about changing people’s lives, and we have proved that by changing their home, offices, rooms, etc they live life happier and healthier.

How would you describe your personal design style?
I love timeless design, modern, neutral, clean lines, lots of plants, natural light, natural materials, wood, marble, easy to maintain, but more specifically to design for the personality of the people that are going to be using the space, they need to feel comfortable and practical.

Where does your design inspiration come from? 
I get inspired in nature, travels, seminars, I love to see magazines and new inspiration design from all over the world and then start creating for some special need to solve it.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
I think that after the pandemic design is moving towards nature, to have more plants, to be more social, open spaces, wellness to really care about nature and humanity.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2022 and beyond.
Sustainability, global connection, wellness, identity and heritage.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
Design that is inclusive for all, with nature, light, neutral colours that you can combine with colour accents, and with furniture and shapes search for comfort in all ways possible.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
I think that they are very important because it helps bring designers together and search for high end design and architecture, also it is amazing seeing all the projects from all over the world and excellence in design.

What projects are you currently working on?
We are finishing a Hotel and have many residential projects in Mexico and starting new  residential projects in Houston, USA

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
The Maiave Spa at Sheraton Buganvillias Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, because we needed to make a Spa in a place that was used for laundry and offices and it came out amazing.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
My most challenging project was doing a  950 rooms Hotel for the first time with 6 restaurants, 2 spas and all the amenities around them, it was a lot of work with a high degree of expertise, we needed to study and learn a lot to have a great project, we finished and had a great experience and also won a price with that hotel.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing?
iPad, apple pencil, paper, pencil, google drive, we transfer, autocad, sketch up, and many others.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
To open an office in Houston, to grow my team and to search for excellence in all our projects.

I would be an alternative doctor, an energy healer.
