Right Meets Left Interior Design

Nolita Project by Right Meets Left Interior Design

Right Meets Left Interior Design have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – Americas Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2023.

Nolita project from Right Meets Left Interior Design involved the renovation of a 2,500-square-foot loft in downtown Manhattan for a young family. As part of the design requirements, the designers were asked to create an elegant yet colorful and quirky interior.

Right Meets Left Interior Design

The project consists of a complete renovation and the joint of two loft apartments in a pre-war cast iron building from 1908. Colors and textiles were the key elements of this design to create a truly unique experience that would reflect their client’s personality and style. The large volumes of the main living area were an asset to incorporating bold colors within the interior to make a statement, such as the Chinoiserie wallpaper from Voutsa. In addition, the designers implemented a flexible furniture plan, from custom-made to vintage furniture, and combined it with durable textiles to enhance the overall quirky interior.

Right Meets Left Interior Design

As part of the design process, Right Meets Lefts Interior Design worked closely with artisans, rug makers, and wallpaper installation experts not only to create an aesthetic and entertaining interior but also to offer a functional space on a day-to-day basis. Each room was designed to reflect this; for instance, most custom-made furnishing was combined with durable fabrics and strong materials. The main bedroom also strikes this perfect balance between elegance and personality with its custom bed upholstered in the Christian Lacroix printed fabric.

This design is a successful mix of the client’s style, functionality, and aesthetic interior. It fully takes advantage of the large volumes offered within the space to then create flexibility and whimsy moments within the overall scheme.
