Rive Gauche London were the winners of the Interior Design Scheme – London Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2023.

With a prestigious location, the property had a beautiful shell that Rive Gauche London was commissioned to work with. The client had a specific vision for their home – they wanted a unique residence that combined historical grandeur with modern flair, and their love of art was the driving force behind the design.

Throughout the project, Rive Gauche London worked closely with the client to create spaces that truly reflected their tastes and personalities. The team combined the timeless elegance of traditional design with a lighter and fresher material palette, resulting in a refined and elegant aesthetic with a modern approach. They were also careful to ensure that the interior reflected the prestige of the address with subtle classical references.

One of the highlights of the project is the lighting design. Rive Gauche used a combination of wall lighting by Articolo, bespoke chandeliers by Preciosa, and picture lighting by Circa Lighting to create a calming and elegant ambiance. The lighting also highlights the client’s art collection, which is a prominent feature throughout the apartment. The team at Rive Gauche London believes that the lighting design became art pieces in their own right.

Mayfair is known for its luxury and exclusivity, and the designers have seamlessly combined the historic aspects of the area with the fun influences of fashion and art that can be seen in nearby boutiques and galleries. Bespoke, handcrafted items are featured throughout the apartment, and the artwork has been perfectly procured to complement the interiors.
