Rebecca Clark Design have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme -Global Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2021.

The River Residence is an expansive, elegant newly built family home commanding stunning views on the banks of the Swan River in Perth.

As a new build, Rebecca Clark Design had the opportunity to complete this project from scratch. The client’s brief was to exude a glamorous, sophisticated elegance with an aim to create a warm and engaging space, rich in texture and interest while maintaining a tonal palette and slight oriental feel. The clients appreciation in detail allowed the designer much freedom to carefully curate some wonderful and interesting pieces from around the globe, bringing exceptional quality and luxury. A palette of rich taupe, bronze, caramel with grey and ivory tones reflect a timeless, sophisticated feel and a slight oriental theme is continued throughout the home in wallpapers, metal artworks and fittings.

An art consultant was engaged to carefully curate a selection of artwork to reflect and compliment the interiors. Stylish, world travellers, my clients particularly enjoy the refined and timeless palettes of some of the gorgeous hotels they have stayed in and were keen to replicate this sense of sophisticated warmth and luxury at home, whilst enjoying the stunning River views.

The designers favourite part of the project is sourcing raw and rich materials. The Onyx Powder Room which is clad from floor to ceiling in this stunning material. The spaces and colour palette flow well from one area to another and are complimentary.

The spaces are very calm with bursts of subtle colour and this is in harmony with the calmness of the water beyond. The specialist artisan skills used in this project are Venetian plaster wall finishes and expert stonemasons.
