Interior Aesthete have been shortlisted for Residential Market Value £1-2.5 Million Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2023.

The brief for Interior Aesthete was to create an ambience showcasing elegance and opulence, whilst celebrating the owner’s love for wood and natural materials, for a 425 m2 new build located in North West London. It was necessary to maximise space and give deep attention to circulation and connectivity considering both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the house.

The property contains 5 ensuite bedrooms, a formal lounge and a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area which acts as the heart of the home. The interior lighting creates captivating layers in ambience connecting various zones, serving as the house’s focal point. Considerable attention was given to creating the most suitable lighting scheme which brings out every detail of the textures within the rooms and is also conducive to relaxation and conversations. Surfaces infused with high-shine lacquered finishes, and rich timber wall panels confidently blended with earth-tone wallpapers, semi-industrial elements like raw brickwork, concrete panels and deeply veined marble to bring a great character to the house.

Integration of nature visually and in a tactile way has been emphasised. Open space plans, Earth tone palette and spatial planning in consideration of sunlight and its usage have been deeply thought of. Functionally the property has achieved optimum space utilisation, it ticks all the space goals the client desired and more. The property encompasses both classical and modern design features with the textural play of various tones of wood used in the most magnificent and creative ways, thus giving the elegance and luxe the property demanded, and the client dreamed of.
