Design by Uber have been shortlisted for Residential £2.5-5 Million (Project Value) Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2023.

The primary objective of the project was to create an internal space that maximizes the property’s scale, making it highly functional for a professional couple who enjoy both entertaining and embracing the cosiness of home. Design by Uber successfully utilized the full width of the house, ensuring a seamless flow throughout the property. The team skilfully linked the open-plan spaces, softening the harsher materials while maintaining a neutral and sophisticated scheme, which exudes tranquillity and timelessness with a contemporary touch.

One of the highlights of the project is the property’s readiness for lavish entertaining, with an expansive entertainment space forming a gentle C shape. However, the design also incorporated smaller, more intimate spaces, such as the second bar on the 3rd floor. This hidden gem provides an exclusive and peaceful retreat with breath taking views of the tree-lined surroundings and estuary below. Adorned with two-tone materials, patterned finishes, semi-precious stones, and deep dark wood grains, the bar exudes a sense of indulgence and relaxation. The bespoke cabinetry with brass accents, including a concealed door to the WC, adds a touch of luxury to the space, making it the perfect location for unwinding with a loved one.

Design by Uber skilfully struck a balance between the expansive layout and cosy, homely ambiance within the property. The master bedroom suite exemplifies this balance, featuring a thoughtfully designed long layout based on the shallow C shape of the house. This allowed for a full lateral layout, with separate his-and-her bathrooms meeting in the middle at the master bedroom. The master suite includes a cleverly tucked-away breakfast mini-kitchen and a luxurious double-dressing room for her, adding to the sense of intrigue and sophistication throughout the property.

Design by Uber’s exceptional work on this new-build arts & crafts style home has created a stunning interior space that seamlessly blends entertainment, luxury, and comfort, making it a truly enviable and cherished living space for its fortunate owners.
