Filipao Nunes Arquitectos have been Shortlisted for Bar/Club/Lounge – Global Award in The International Hotel and Property Awards 2021.

Harry’s is a restaurant which is considered one of the pioneers of haute cuisine in Mexico, specialising in offering unique culinary experiences that involve all the senses, thanks to a haute cuisine proposal that balances the highest quality ingredients with a unique architectural environment. Inspired by the environment, obsessed with the aesthetics of the mangroves, and with deep respect for its history, Filipao Nunes Arquitectos developed a Caribbean steakhouse that is defined as a place with prime quality, but with the flavour and vibe of the Caribbean.

The project features an architectural design that preserves the elegant and sober style of the brand, but with the addition of natural elements and Renaissance details. Alongside, a cosmopolitan and trendy decoration that depends on the optimisation of space in the different environments of the restaurant. The main objective is that the client feels in a story where he is the protagonist, where he can enjoy the view that overlooks the lagoon, the architectural elements and that it is a space that can be enjoyed with family and friends.

In this project, what the team like the most is the structure design used that was developed along the terrace, giving it that French-style aspect that stands out. Reminiscent of the Beaux Arts stage, which highlights the beauty of the structure, the shades in green helped the team to create the same space and little by little unify with the tones of the lagoon in which completes the project.

The design works well as it casually integrates with the rest of the family of Filipao Nunes Arquitectos restaurants that surrounds it (Porfirios, Vicenta), without losing its own style, transporting us to a different place. Likewise, the design is integrated in a natural way to the environment, confirmed by the lagoon and the existing vegetation. The design develops a boardwalk that seems to extend over the lagoon and creating a kind of walkway in which you can appreciate the beautiful view.
