Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)
I didn’t study at any official institution. I started my career 35 years ago in Tom Dixon’s studio. From there I continued to walk and study on my own.

How would you describe your personal interior design style?
Happy and eclectic, a little of everything.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
From anywhere and anything. A song I heard, a picture I saw or a simple, daily walk along the beach.

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Simplicity.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2021 and beyond.
Simplicity, calmness, courage, passion, happiness

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to interior design schemes, what would it be?
Open and flowing space.

How important are The International Hotel & Property Awards as recognition of talent and achievement?
It is very important. The competition is a good platform to get to know other designers and beautiful projects.

What projects are you currently working on?
A number of very interesting hotels, some shared office spaces, private homes and apartments.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
Honestly, I love them all very much.

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
All of them.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing?
My bed.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
Continue to create and design beautiful and successful projects.
